It doesn't matter where your instructor is from or how long he has been practicing TKD. The greatest martial artist of all time started training at age 13 up untill his death at 32. But even if it had been Bruce Lee. Bad teaching is bad teaching. I don't mean to hurt you but point out to you that you should be better by now. I recognize that because of your condition change must seem terrifying for you. However, a change of instructor is what you have to do if you want to become a true martial artist.
Anyways, that is the last I;m going to say about it. Do with it as you will. I wish you the best.
